This is a new single-storey house with an interior area of 69m2.
Considering the owner’s life style, the public area is open to open up the living line, moving the partition in and out to widen the scale of the master bedroom, introducing the maximum amount of light and hiding the difference between the height of the beams and columns, stretching the highest space in the living room, and cleverly integrating the piping layout to define the dining and guest areas. The design inspiration is drawn from the interaction between “man and nature”, paving the space with wood and water-based paint, arranging the visual lingering line vocabulary with the use of minimum materials, and leaving the wooden theme on the TV wall to extend the daily contours, so that the visual emotions pause and change during the movement of the eyes, in anticipation of a new life brewing and unfolding in the space.
In order to solve the limitations of the small house’s vision, the entrance uses grey mirrors to extend the spatial vision, simultaneously integrating aesthetics and storage functions, and through the light-connecting design and line performance between suspended volumes, connecting with the circular vocabulary wall of the dining room, and combining with the unrestricted display space, injecting a touch of liveliness and brightness into the natural and minimalist aesthetics performance. The master bedroom maintains a simple and natural design, and in the subtractive aesthetics of the home configuration, the beige walls and tall wooden cabinets combine the flow of light and shadow, returning to pure and simple material combinations, allowing the homeowner to take off the hustle and bustle of the city life, and enjoying the rest of the day.
